Not only with respect to fitness, but maintaining a general healthy lifestyle, one should at least contain few of  the below foods in our plates:

1. Lots of Green Vegetables/Salad & Fruits.

Reason: Vegetables provide you with various vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber and nutrients. Most of which are low in calories and can help you to feel full longer.

2. Dairy products (Butter Milk, Yogurt etc).

Reason: Dairy Products like milk, yogurt, cheese, are rich sources of calcium and other minerals, protein, and vitamins. They protect against heart disease and stroke, and reduce the risk of high BP.

3. Water

Reason: I guess i don’t have to provide the justification for this, as it has lot of health benefits like hydration, prevention for headaches,constipation, reduce kidney stones and many many more.

4. Grains.

Reason: Whole grains may protect against heart disease, type 2 diabetes, excessive weight gain, and some cancers.
